once i went walking
in the dark of night
i heard wind moving
through black locusts

i watched falling stars
turn to silvered leaves
they chanced upon my hair
i had become a queen

so i commanded the sky
make the stars shine
then i demanded
a brand new moon

then along came the fool
to blow away my crown
crumpled jewels fell to earth
i walked home a peasant
